Aren’t we all digital marketers now?
our online presence is as real as a credit score.
I make sure it’s in a good place.
Here’s the Short Version:
Berry College C‘17
Strategic storyteller of brands and people
Ex-photographer, ex-poet
Advocate for all things good.
If you’re curious…
The Long Version:
Chapter 1
I was on the yearbook staff in high school when I found sports journalism. The thrill of getting the shot of the game-winning catch, then channeling that energy onto the page. When it goes to print, everyone will know how it felt to be there.
I knew I needed to sharpen my photo skills, so I started shadowing a wedding photographer. (I’ve shot as many weddings as I’ve been to.)
Chapter 2
At Berry College, I graduated with a BA in Communications with a concentration in Sports Journalism. (I was the first woman & the first POC to graduate with the major).
I volunteered with the American Red Cross, the local riverkeeper, a community garden, and a women’s health clinic. Non-profits have a lot of heart with not a lot of resources — I still make it a point to volunteer my time and talents.
Chapter 3
I started in a general mar-com role and I enjoyed it all — Writing for an annual magazine, organizing the website, developing email campaigns, and publishing on social media.
It primed me for my career in content.
Chapter 4 - NOW
I love organic content. You can create a massive piece to divvy up across other channels. OR you can focus all of your energy and create a multi-series piece for a single channel.
The companies and people I work with have a several things in common:
They’re passionate people
They’re really sharp
They like to say “what if?”
work FAQs
Why atl?
2nd-gen ATLien born and raised. I love traveling to compare how I like other cities, but nothing compares to home.
What was your very first job?
I started working coat check for my aunt’s company at 13. Everyone should work in the service industry.
What’s your greatest strength?
Curiosity. I’m stoked when I get to learn a new skill, talk to a new person, or brainstorm an upcoming campaign.
WFH, Hybrid, or In-office?
I dig a hybrid model — Best of both worlds.
Remote work is great for deep focus sessions or those days where you just need a power nap to restart the creative juices. But some things just jive when you’re IRL.
What’s your pet peeve?
Chewing loudly and being late to meetings.
What’s your dream job?
A flexible job that pays well where I get to create, bounce ideas off of others, use data to game plan next steps, and say “what if”. There’s laughter, making deadlines with time to spare, and a Slack channel just for memes.
What’s not on your resume?
I care A LOT about the work I do. Knowing the purpose, goals, and why behind what I do is imperative for me to do my job well. I ask a lot of questions to make sure the job is done well.
